We just finished connecting everything in our new entertainment center.
Basically the TV, DVD and VCR combo unit, stereo receiver, 6-disc CD changer, dual cassette deck and two of our gaming systems (Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis).
We can easily switch out our gaming systems if we want to play the 8-bit Nintendo or the Nintendo 64. Today was a productive day.

Pictures? You’re making me want to post pictures of my setup… I’ve got a TV, VCR/DVD, another DVD player (the one in the combo doesn’t work), a stereo with a 3-disc CD changer and two cassette slots, a Playstation 2, and a Gamecube. Like you said, it’s not too hard to switch in my SNES or N64 if I want.
If I’d thought ahead while I was setting it up, I would have left the RF switch for the NES plugged in when I set it up. As it is now, it’d be a little difficult to move the TV enough to plug it in.

Hey Luke. Sounds like you have a nice set up.
About your NES hookup, if you’ve got the toaster 8-bit Nintendo, you can also use RCA cables (on the side), which is what I do, so there is no need to have the RF switch anymore.

Holy- You’re right! I’ve had this NES since I was a kid, how did I never notice the RCA plugs on the side!?

Probably all those drugs you did in the 60’s… oh wait, you were not alive then

The NES is now plugged into the living room TV so my mom can play Dr. Mario again. Man, I was right about how much harder Contra is now than it was when I was kid and had nothing else to play. Also, I can’t find my copy of Life Force and I still can’t beat the original Super Mario Bros. and both those things make me sad.

Ha! Your mom is funny. I prefer Tetris over Dr. Mario myself.
As for Contra, use the cheat code for unlimited lives
Super Mario Bros. is easy. Slacker. Get on that and beat it like it’s 1985 again.

In 1985 I couldn’t even walk yet so I don’t know how that’s supposed to help me. And if you feel like sending us a copy of the NES Tetris, I’m sure my mom would play that too.

You couldn’t walk yet? You could at least play Nintendo
I might have a duplicate Tetris and if I do, I’ll send it your way.

If you can send us a Tetris, my mother would be very grateful. I don’t know if she’d let me take the NES when I move out though.
